Think of it this way:
God is like the sun, and He calls His followers to be like the moon; constantly reflecting His light, even when others do not see us.
- the question was: what is your purpose?

you guys, listen. anytime God puts someone on your heart over and over and over again until you can’t stop thinking about them, immediately pray blessings and good things over them for as long as you feel compelled. please do that every single time.

We are learning about ourselves at the same time we are learning to be new people by the Spirit, and so being patient with ourselves opens up more opportunities for us to be freer.
It’s interesting to me how we seek happiness through different things, even people and then when those people aren’t making us as happy as the things we trust in, we’re incredibly disturbed.
True joy comes from our salvation, not our circumstances, and not other people. People aren’t things, they aren’t projects, they are objects of God’s affection. They are precious. They might not act like it always, they might not believe it always, nor see it, but that is what they are––it’s what we are. And accepting this will sustain our joy for far longer than we thought.
